Need another Lawn Service - Ours bailed

I have just had our second lawn service "Lawns by Bob" bail out of service without notice. Looking for someone good in that does work in Mallory area on a "regular" basis.

I just remembered I know who suki is. HELLO :ho:. If you drive by my house and my lawn is not cut, disregard everything that follows!

I have been using the same guy since 2008. He was recommended by Jamie of Jamie's landscaping and to date has been very reliable. He only cuts the grass. He will weed and trim for additional cost, but I have yet to use him for that.

As of last year he did not hand mow.

Kris Hale. Nice guy, cheaper than others, always there, never an issue.

I only use them for lawn mowing, I have others weed and feed.

I let go my first company after some issues. Got an estimate from Kris, have used him for 18 months.

Zero issues to date.

Lawn Service people are a funny thing.

Our first guy ended up having cancer, but we still kept him. Went on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks to return home to our grass not mowed. Called and no answer. Found another at quick notice and finally found out the first guy was in really bad shape and died.

Second guy we had was doing a great job. Had him for a few years. Then we noticed someone else cutting our grass? Talked to them and found out the story. The original guy gambled and had some shaky loans. Our neighbors told us that he asked them for money, but we lucked out. This wasn't his first run in with gambling. We always wondered why he had new helpers and he said he was particular as to how the job was done. Found out that the guy was on his last rope and the sharks were threatening so he lawn guy went and robbed a bank, but he didn't have a gun. He wanted to get caught and go to jail to BE SAFE. His marriage was ruined. His wife sold the business to the new people cutting our grass. We are happy with them. We live in Sabal Chase. We have C & K Lawn Service & More 352-461-2265. They also do other services. We only have them cut our lawn at $45 for a Designer lot.

Now if anything happens to them I will switch over to Fernview Farms (352-245-7905). We have them for trimming our shrubs and spraying our weeds. Well worth the price. They do palm trimming if they can reach the leaves. The spraying for weeds, they use something safe as they spray inside plants where grass and weeds accumulate. So pleased with that and they do a good job. You can hire them for a one time job, a few months a year or all season. I am tired of the heat so do it all season. I still do go out and do some trimming because the shrubs grow like weeds with all the rain. They also do other services.

So I keep an eye on the lawn people as they are hear today, gone tomorrow.
