I am looking for someone who can install a speedometer on my gas yamaha. I was looking for one that will, show miles traveled, time traveled, back light for night driving. The villages golf cart has one for about $150.00 I think.

Call Jack at 205-8301. He has a great speedometer that will do all that you asked for.

Consider a Garmin GPS instead.

Three years ago I used Jim Lesaroni

for my Yamaha. The one he installed will show all of that and lots more. He did a nice clean installation and charged me $75. I'm very happy with the speedometer and the installation.

If you have a smartphone there are plenty of free apps. I Like Speedview but lately I've been using iBolt Dock and Drive on my android

I have a little inexpensive Schwinn bike model that does all that, but is pretty darn complicated (20 functions, but only two buttons) and wouldn't recommend it.

As some have mentioned, the app's they have for smart phones are pretty nice and that's what I mainly use.

Smart phone app is pretty much useless unless you strap your phone to the steering column. I have the app just for the h--- of it but have a speedometer on the column so I can quickly glance down and check my speed.

I have an aftermarket storage shelf in front and my phone sits great in the drivers side cupholder (and still have the two original drivers side cupholders available).

They make real nice mounts for smartphones. I have a suction cup windshield mount and a 12 volt charger. Comes in handy when visiting customers homes using GPS in the golf cart.

I had Todd Casey of Todd Caset Golf Cart repairs put one of those little Schwinn speedometers on mine. It works like a charm and I love it. It's mostly useful to tell how far you've gone and how far you have left. I know I can go about 30 miles in my cart on one charge. When I bring the cart out every day, the first thing I do is set the odometer to "0".

x2. I used my Garmin on my cart at the LSV and brought up the screen with the miles, lapsed time etc then clicked on the miles only so it shows in big bold numbers. I think it would be a great way of logging hours on the engine too. When we return at the end of the year I may invest on a speedometer as we are buying a new cart.
