If you're a pet person, take heart. Mr and Mrs golfingNut posted re the thread about the found black and white dog that they are willing to adopt.
I'm not a sentimentalist, (I don't admit it) but I wonder if dogs make a destiny for themselves.

My dog who has the most perfect behavior I can imagine, was abandoned three times before she found me. Do people divorce dogs because they know they aren't a good fit?
or do dogs divorce their owners to find the right one?
If this works out, what is his name going to be??? I'd name him Bolt, but nobody asked me.
Nut...Bolt.

This news just made my date. I would call him Lucky. Bless you Mr. & Mrs.
GolfingNut. I believe that he was abandoned and home groomed to look good knowing that a Villager would give him a loving home. He is a handsome boy.

This just made my day. Thank you Mr and Mrs Golfing Nut for your compassion to those who cannotspeak for themselves.

I talked to my vet yesterday about the best way to make the transfer comfortable for both dogs and she said it was not a good idea. Buster is just a few months short of 18 years old. He is blind, deaf and has no teath. Our vet said introducing anouther dog into his fragile environment could cause severe trauma to him.

Dr. McBride in Wildwood. Apparently it would have been fine under multi dog household and other circumstances; however, due to Busters age and condition, not so good. We are here to help in any way we can. This dog MUST be helped to. Find a great home.

Looks like we need a foster home and a vet workup with neuter, chip, immunizations and heartworm check/meds.

We need something like a yard sale with proceeds going to the welfare of this little guy. I am available to help and provide items of value for donation.

We adopted our little dog when he was 2 1/2 months old and our older dog was 15. Now I do need to add that our older dog was one of the best dogs ever. We felt that it brought new life to our older dog as he seemed to feel that he had to protect and teach the ropes to the little guy. Our older dog however was only deaf, he could still see and had his teeth. I think the little guy added several months to his life.
