Has that long anticipated bakery opened in Wildwood yet? I had heard on TOTV that the opening date had been reset to Sept. 1. It is now Sept. 14.
No but Yalaha Bakery is open in Summerfield.

I have heard of but never been to the Yahala Bakery. Their site looks good.

Was there this morning to pick up some bread we had ordered. They were offering free coffee so, as you can imagine, the place was packed. But they were well stocked and it reminded me so much of the wonderful European bakeries you see all over the continent. From the look of the crowds of people actually buying, they will do well. The desserts are sinful.
One problem with this morning - no cash register yet, the poor girl taking money had to work it out on what appeared to be an Ipad and it really slowed things down.

The new Yalaha Bakery is located in Baylee Plaza. We have been to the Yalaha location and love their products. It is a little pricey but the quality is good. It is a German bakery. I hope the Baylee Plaza location is a huge success. Good luck Yalaha!

This new location definitely needs an extra person there. The girl is sweet, but could be a little more exuberant in greeting people and saying please and thank you. She is also wearing gloves but handles the money with them as well as the baked items. They do say on the door that they need extra help. A cash register would help and she didn't have enough change. I guess...give them time........oh, it's in the plaza of Taverna Red.

Thanks Tweety Bird for the update. Handling money and product with gloves is useless as far as sanitary practices are concerned. Might as well just use your bare hands then. When a new location opens an owner should always be present. It's all in the training.
When I hear stuff like this it really makes me want to open up another business........
