I'm leaving on 10/1(flying) to oversee work being done on our home(resale) during the next 4/5 weeks. Want to ship my clubs down and wonder if others have done this. If so with whom?:mademyday:

It's cheaper to buy a travel bag ($35 @ golfsmith) and bring them with you. If you happen to be flying Southwest Airlines, they fly free.

I have sent clubs ahead many times when going to play in company business meetings. I use UPS. Have had good service each time and they would be there waiting for me.

I've shipped many using Fed-X. Service has been good. Sometimes I used a "Golf Shipping bag and other times I used a carton for clubs. No problems either way. Golf Shipping bag is best.
if you use a golf bag and it is broken into you would not be covered for any declared value you put on your clubs. If you ship them in a shipping carton you would be covered. Your UPS store will have a box you can purchase that will Fit your clubs.

I took my set down from N.Y. via South West, no extra charge it is just considered luggage.
