My cat has had a "sinus" problem for about 2 years. My vet in CT tried many antibiotics and even scoped her sinuses to try to figure it out. Now I loved my vet up there, and she did many, many great things for me and my animals. But one visit to Dr. Drum and he noticed her tooth was bleeding and she had gingivitis and the tooth will probably have to come out- and that was probably the root of the sinus problem (and deafness) my cat is experiencing. Granted, my cat is the "cat from hell" when it comes to vet visits and usually leather gloves are in order so looking in her mouth was not done very regularly up in CT, however there were many times recently when she was put out (like when being scoped) when this could have been done. Praise, praise, praise for Dr. Drum! 2 years of misery for my cat is long enough and relief is on the way.
