I have searched through TOTV topics/information and have not seen any info on home security systems & installers, products, type, etc. Anyone have any info, recommendations? We have always installed "hard wired," systems w/monitoring. However, our new spec home is not pre-wired.
I know, crime in TV is not an issue. POM is.

I have a home in Kentucky and another in Sanibel and I have Frontpoint, a wireless system, installed in both. They are one of the top rated security systems in America. Superb customer service, easy (and I mean really easy) to install yourself, and it works like a charm. No wires. Installs in 30 minutes or less and is great. Control the whole system with an app on a smartphone. Check them out at:

Cameras are the new wrinkle. You can see from afar.

I have ADT and they came and installed in under two hours with very little wiring needing to be done.

We are planning our move to our newly purchased home in Palo Alto and are looking into home security as well. So far I like Simplisafe. It is wireless and does not have a contract as many of the hard wired systems do. I will also check out FrontPoint.

I installed my own cameras and have been watching the construction in Hillsborough from afar until we arrive in October. it is great and was not expensive at all. Records about 6 months of action...
