We have a couple dogs and are trying to find the best way to confine them in a 4 seater cart. We know that we should use a harness, but what suggestions do you have for hooking that to cart. Was thinking of a large collar or leash. What do you use?

We use a short leash which is wrapped around the seat back and then attached to his harness.

Like mherzberg, we use leashes for our two dogs attached to their harnesses. Short enough so that they can't jump off the seats. Although I must say that they seem to perfectly understand golf carts and that no matter how many dogs they see, they must stay seated. But they're dogs, so I will always use restraints, ya just never know.

I use a leather strap from one if my old purses. Attach to harness and the basket on the back of cart. The strap is short enough to keep him next to me and he can't fall out!

We have seat belts in our cart and our Westie has a doggie seat belt that attaches to the car or golf cart seat belts. He loves his cart rides and expects it ever day.

I have doggie car seats. The dogs wear a harness that attaches to the seat belt . The seat belt holds the dog seat and harness in place.

That's how we keep Molly safe in the cart, too. Works well.

We use part of the leash to the supports between the seats even though Bailey also seems to know he is in an open moving vehicle as he did our Jeep. He sits perfectly still and enjoys the ride. I think enjoys a long ride around the villages versus the dog park.

Put them in a travel cage and strap it to the roof. I understand someone of some import did that once.

You can buy from PetsMart or Petco a short strap with hook made specifically to have seat belt slide through it and hook to harnesss. Keeps the dogs on the seat and they can't jump down.

Aussiemom, I am also a Mom of an Aussie (mini). He likes to take up the whole rear facing seat. He gets so excited when I mention a golf cart ride. My husband rides in front with his two smaller dogs. We just need to keep them safe!
