Here is a really fun article about how the hotel industry is welcoming--yes, courting!--the doggy clientele. It's come a long way from 2000, when we had exactly two choices on the way from MI to Key West of hotels who took dogs. Now dogs rule! :thumbup: (as well they should)

How nice to see a happy pet thread. :D "Yappy Hours" where people have cocktails and mingle with their dogs almost makes me want to visit NYC. I read the article to Biggins and Lollipop, they clapped their paws and went back to sleep.

Funny rememberance on his part. We were in a pet-friendly hotel last night on the fourth floor, so using the elevator. in 2009/10 we lived on the 12th floor of an apartment building, and we trained him to behave in the elevator by treating him to sit. All the people thought he was so well behaved :eclipsee_gold_cup::D

Since then we've never been in an elevator till last night. The second time on the elevator, it was like a light bulb went off: If I sit I get a treat! Wham! as his butt hit the floor, and two eyes on mine expecting a treat. Unfortunately, my memory isn't as good as his...:cryin2:
