Moving into Ashland

My English husband and I are moving into Ashland on October 1st and are staying with my parents at the moment.

We have been here a week and think The Villages are Amazing!

My parents have been Villagers since 98 and Love it Here!

Welcome to The Villages! Lucky you to already be there and already enjoying what TV has to offer. My husband and I are moving over from the UK within the next few months and we cannot wait! As your parents are already living there is should certainly make it so easy for you both to fit in and probably already know your way round. Ashland has a newly formed club, The Ashland Neighbors, that meets the first Tuesday of the month at Churchill. They engage in various activities. There's also the Ashland Social Club that provides entertainment along with a pot luck every, I think it's the third Thurday at Laural Manor. You'll find plenty of ways to meet people and have fun. Welcome.

It is great here!!!

My husband is from East London and I spent 2yrs there with him before moving back to the States.

The new club is meeting the first Tues. of the month. Oct 1st will be outside games at 5:30 at Churchhill followed by a pot luck at 6:30. There's information on all these clubs on the bulletin board at the mailboxes.

we first found the Villages over 25 years ago, spent 10 yrs looking for the "catch" but eventually joined all the happy smiling folks that we had met over the years,and in 1999 we purchased in Santiago. There we found wonderful friends & neighbours and when in 2011 we decided to move South (as we were spending so much time each day in travelling south to activities) it was with a heavy heart that we left. However, we remain in contact with those lovely people attending Socials & Driveway parties etc. The move to Tamarind has been amazing, I did not think that I could find such special people again but this is the Villages & they are every where!!!!
My brother followed us to the Villages moving to Bellaire but has since become our neighbour in Tamarind & then my husbands sister moved into Ashland.
She will be pleased to know about the new club. Her home is in Terrabonne Terrace. As you may have realised we are all Snowbirds, there is quite a British contingent in the Villages & we also have another friend here from Hayling Island. Welcome to the best time of your life!!!!!!!
