Anyone have good experience using someone to hang pictures and mirrors around their house. If so, any estimate of the cost - is it by the hour or number of items?

Two years ago we used 'The Hangman', he is normally in the newspaper every week and he lives in TV. I had tried to hang a few items in the garage but was having a terrible time. We have masonry exterior walls which don't have the normal stud walls you can use for securing hangers. They have furring strips for attaching drywall and I wasn't able to find them with my stud-finder so I though I would leave hanging to a professional. I also had curtains for a couple of big windows and usually that is a two man job. He charges $40 an hour and provides all the hardware. We had many many paintings in addition to the curtains so he was at our place for a whole day, it was about $300.
