I just upgraded my iphone to 4S. It came with IOS7. I have not had any luck finding information on closing open apps running in the background. I can't close them as I did with my previous IPhone that used IOS 6x.
Anyone have experience with this and an answer. I have searched Apple.com and IOS7 manual. Thanks
Gary

Double tap the home button and swipe the review screen above the app icon (not the icon itself) up in order to close the app.

IOS 7 is horrible. Battery life went down, and their is lots of security issues. I went to an android.

The flashlight is now build into the control center. Access the control center by swiping up from the bottom. You will see an icon that looks like a flashlight. Use that icon to turn the flashlight off and on. You probably hit the control center and flashlight by mistake and did not realized that you turned it on.
This link (http://www.maclife.com/article/gallery/90_ios_7_tips_and_tricks#slide-2)shows you a picture of the control center.

The flashlight comes with iOS7. When you swipe up from the bottom on a screen, a quick link to the features come up. Across the bottom is a flashlight, timer, calculator and camera appear. Just click on the flashlight and it will go off. Hope this helps.
Worked for me to. Thanks!
Another question?
I had my flash come on accidentally like a flash light. Couldn't turn it off, had to shut the phone down to get it off. I don't have an app for a flash light, any idea how I turned it on and how to turn it off again? It was dark when it came on accidentally.

I spoke to a rep at my local Verizon store and he said a fix is coming in the next "2 to 3 weeks". Hopefully this will solve a lot of the bugs.

That was my first reaction and the answer is NO going back.
You will also find after a couple of weeks you will be used to all the things you currently dislike.

Art Fenn has a IOS club which meets the first Tuesday of every month at Colony Rec Center at 1:30. Very informative. Basics and more. The apple club also has IOS meetings the second Tuesday at 6:30 at Saddlebrooke. Both clubs are very informative.

I don't think the new I0S7 is very compatible with the older Iphones. I bought a new Iphone and now my speed is good, but my old Iphone became slower with the new operating system. I'd love to go back to the old operating system too, but as they say, you can never go back. Onward and upward!
Double tap the home button and swipe the review screen above the app icon (not the icon itself) up in order to close the app.
Thanx for all the info on the new iOS7. I love everything apple and really like the new iOS7.

Check Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh
Turn off all apps running in background that you really don't need. This will speed things up.

Swipe up and there are lots of 'useful' tools like the camera, volume, timer, etc and a flashlight!

From what I've read on Apple's site you really don't need to close apps.
