Hi,
does anyone have any advice/tips on how to remove tyre marks from a concrete driveway or recommend a product that can remove them. We are getting the house power washed in a week's time and wonder if the washer guy would be able to remove them.

We had tire marks from when they delivered our pod. They eventually went away from the hard rains. Power washing might do the trick.

Here is the remedy: Soon after you have your driveway power washed 24/48 hrs. Seal the driveway with a good quality sealer Sherwin Williams is a good source.

You did not say whether your driveway is painted or pavers which is critical to your concern.

The answer to your question is pretty simple. The British spell " Tyre " this way when referring to a " Tire ".

Go to the hardware store in the Spanish Springs Plaza and ask for a product called Snows about $5 :bigbow:
Follow directions and your drive way will look like new removes all stains

From wiki dictionary:

The Oxford English Dictionary suggests that the word derives from attire, while other sources suggest a connection with the verb to tie. The spelling tyre is used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand after being revived in the 19th century. Both tyre and tire were used in the 15th and 16th centuries, but tire became the settled term in the 17th century and tyre became obsolete. The United States did not adopt the revival of tyre, and tire is the only spelling currently used there and in Canada.

All snarky replies will be deleted. Thank you jhrc for being the first to point out a factual answer.

Most of the time the sun will bleach out the tire marks unless they are real heavy.

Power washer will remove most any tire marks. A moving van tractor trailer truck got heavy truck tire black marks all over the drive next door and the power washer removed them. Walmart has a long handle that goes with a yellow brush head that works really well too for the occasional marks. You can place a little laundry detergent on them if you like, brush with the brush and rinse off with a hose. Sometimes the marks are mostly dirt off the road and will wash away easily with no scrubbing.

Do nothing, they will go away with the rain.

These were pretty bad, don't think a 40 year flood would have taken these off....but the power washer was able to get them off...Now why the truck was even in a private driveway is another story. Click photos to enlarge for a better view.
