During my years in Radio and TV, I had the opportunity to have little parts in several movies. Has anybody here ever been in one?
I had bit parts in:
Horror flick of the 60s, "Night of the Living Dead."
Paul Newman movie "Slap Shot" (I even tried out for a speaking part, but didn't get it.)
Sylvester Stallone movie "Fist"
The worst movie ever made "The Christmas Miracle" Starring Donald O'Connor and Morgana King. (Morgana who? She was Mrs Don Corleone in the God Father)

You've seen me in HBO's "The Corner", "The Wire", and NBC's "Homicide: Life on the Streets." You've seen my houseboat in "Ladder 49". Don't have the houseboat anymore.

I started out in television when I was 17, working at a local tv station as a camera man on the local
"Good Morning show" all before going to high school later in the morning, later graduated into editing
and video board, got to meet some very interesting people along the way, Nancy Culp, (Beverly Hillbilly's)
Olivia DeHavailand (Gone with The Wind) and several other lesser known character actors. One particularly
stands out as I got to know him very well over several weeks as I was in a travel log with him. Chill Wills,
John Wayne's side kick in many, many movies. he was no different in life as he was on screen, what a character
I would drive his motorhome for him and his wife after a shoot was over, usually late at night, he didn't like
driving at night. Wish I had stayed in the business but other things called.

Big deal on me bUT my school reunion was on TLC's reunion show that they had on years ago. I think it was shown a hundred times over the next year or so. THEN one day I answered my door over in my CYV in Villa Santo Domingo and there was Stephen from VNN. A camera was pointed at me. He wanted to know what useless Christmas gift I had received. Throughout the piece they would keep cutting back to me and my sugarfree chocolate.

A long time ago I worked for an advertising agency, and they were making a commercial for some townhomes. They needed someone to play the part of a lawn maintenance guy. I got paid $75 for my 3 seconds of fame. I pushed a wheel barrow by the camera. The commercial ran on television for about 3 months.

In the 60's living in Tokyo I was an extra in two Japanese movies for TV. One I remember best of all was set in a "Russian Embassy" and was a grand ball. They gave us champagne glasses filled with 7-UP for the toasts. It was hot as hell in the room and I kept sipping my 7-UP as they prepared to shoot. Three times I finished my drink before they shot the scene and they had to refill my glass. They were very unhappy with me. >:(

I played the part of Tony Bennett in the movie "Hard to Hold" with Rick Springfield.
Now I am looking for someone who will help me edit some video on a one to one basis.

How about Bozo
Bozo, I knew Bozo, the Detroit Bozo. The way I understand it Bozo was a franchise, different cities had different players. The one in Detroit was Art Cervi. I knew him because he was the president of the Ford Mercury Restorers Club, we met at Ford American road in the meeting room that was used for union negotiations.

I walked onto a set while they were getting ready to film a scene of TJ Hooker but never found out if I was in any scenes. I had to go through this area while interviewing at the Pasadena Public Library for a reference position back in 1985 or 1986. No way around this except just walking on set.

Maybe , I should have asked for credit as an extra? Not a movie though.

Interviewed on The Morning Show in Cleveland back in 1974 , I was Miss Tall Cleveland. Also was on on The Mike Douglas Show, and Ding Dong School when I lived in Cleveland. Just missed out on famous The Christmas Story movie.. I had an opportunity to be in the scenes shots in in front of the Halle's Department store driving an old car. They were shooting at night and I could not miss my day job. Several friends were in The Deer Hunter scenes shot in my hometown.

My wife' sister and her husband were extras in the movie Tin Cup (Kevin Costner) and our neighbor was an extra in What Lies Beneath (Harrison Ford). So we at least know and are related to 'celebrities'. Does that count?

I inducted Buffalo Bob Smith into a Theatrical Hall of Fame in Buffalo NY about 20 years ago . He was a Buffalo native who was actually discovered as a talent by Kate Smith .
When I took him out to dinner that night his voice was so unique that he constantly attracted autograph seekers who recognized him from his voice .
