What year the developer started building homes with the roman walk in shower? We really like this style and want to look at pre-owned homes along with new builds but would like to narrow down our search to the year this type of shower was an option. Anyone know?

Its been an option for years in Gardenias. Not sure about how long in other models. Our home was built in 2009 and we have one

We have one and our home was built in 2008. Our friends have one and their house was built in 2006.

Thanks for all the responses! Looks like 2006 and older should be my focus!

That was one of our two mandatory requirements for our Sunflower the other was a North South exposure.

We have one and i love it
But, heads up:
My husband, who tends to get very cold and Who is infirmed, showers in the guest bathrm b/c he finds the walk in shower too big to heat, he feels cold in thevroman shower.
I, on the other hand, LOVE it!

2008 Wisteria. This is my favorite room in the house...

You can have heat lamps installed in the Roman Shower and make it cozy. Most of the Designer homes have the shower since 2006 or so. I agree they are nice.

If you put up a shower curtain it really helps make it warmer.
We used the plastic tension rod that came for our 2nd bathroom
and it works at keeping the water in and the drafts out.
