I haven't seen much on Star Carts and there isn't much info on line. I like the looks, features and sales pitch of the Star brand. I believe the dealership has changed hands several times, is that true? Are the carts reliable, I've read a few bad comments but have also seen good ones??? How do they handle? I have no experience on carts other than on a course so I can't make a good decision by test driving. I welcome any thoughts or experience you have with this brand. Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't bother with Star, they are manufactured in China.

And where is that Kawasaki motor manufactured? How 'bout those Yamahas, American made?
I've posted before that we love our Star cart that is almost 5 years old. We have not had any problems- just replaced one headlight. We did annual maintenance. I love the convertible back seat. We just replaced the batteries after 4 1/2 years and we could have gone longer. The cart is very peppy. The dealership has changed 3 times since we purchased. I believe the new dealer is on 466 near 441.

We bought ours used, it's an '08. The convertible seat is wonderful when company comes but put seat belts on the back at least. It is peppy the seat is hard but I love it! New batteries and tires at 4 years.

I have two good friends that have Star carts. No problems. They may have parts from China (probably all carts do) but they are assembled in South Carolina. If I was in the market for an electric, I would at least listen and look at a Star Cart. They have a great back seat that is much better than any other cart I've seen.

Our 2009 Star is still going strong. Batteries need to be maintained or they will not last. The new dealership is the factory store.
