I contacted ChemDry to clean the off-white berber carpeting in my CYV. We purchased our villa last December and knew carpet cleaning was going to be a necessary cost. When I got here permanently in mid-September I started to check the posts in TOTV and saw mixed reviews. I spoke with my daughter and she told me she had used a ChemDry independent contractor for her preschool carpeting in the Indianapolis area. She was very happy with the service so I went with her recommendation.

My light colored berber was stained with who-knows-what and had very noticeable traffic patterns. Every time I opened the blinds and let the sun shine in all I could see was dirty carpet. The quote I received over the telephone was exactly what was charged and the technician couldn't have been more pleasant and efficient. We agreed the large pieces of furniture such as beds and armoires did not need to be moved but he took care of moving and replacing everything else (I had removed my lamps & knick-knacks prior to his arrival).

The day after I had my carpets cleaned I noticed there was one area that I was not particularly happy with, but it wasn't anything a guest would notice, I'm sure. I received a telephone call asking if I was satisfied and I mentioned I was pleased with most of the results but not overly impressed with one small area. Apparently the local franchise owner was the one making the call to me and she insisted on having a second visit by her technician to assure I would be impressed with their service.

This morning the technician returned, acknowledged the area I was concerned about did look a little "splotchy" to him as well, and proceeded to go over the area again.

I have to say, I am very, VERY happy with the end result. I was happy enough before the second visit, but am extremely happy with my clean carpets now. I would be very pleased to recommend ChemDry of The Villages to anyone needing to have their carpets cleaned. I know it's not always possible to eliminate all traffic patterns, especially since we continue to use the same pathways around our homes. But the dirty trails on my carpet are all but eliminated.

Many thanks, ChemDry! :bigbow:
