I have read about folks driving cars on the golf cart paths and today I saw it for myself.....this was on the Buena Vista Golf cart path, going out toward Brownwood........after I motioned to the driver that she was not supposed to be there she turned around and came back behind us on the path.

Geesh- was that after turning around? Wonder where she entered from and got confused?

Wow, that is something - and documented with a picture!
I guess those snowbirds from New York really are back in The Villages. :1rotfl:

I don't see a license plate on the front of the van...so not from NY...
Buggy...what state are you from? :D

This has the hallmarks of drunk driving.

When I was new here, I made a turn from Belvidere Blvd. onto a golf cart path. A bunch of cars and golf carts were honking their horns at me. I quickly realized this didn't seem like a road so I backed off. Shortly afterwards, they installed a post on the golf path at that "intersection".

Not snowbirds. From the other thread, the van has a FL license plate.

I've seen this happen numerous times - someone used to driving their golf cart most of the time and is sort of on "automatic pilot" - forget they are in the car. If the white post at the cart path intersection isn't there, nothing stops them.

A while ago a lady in a car came up behind me on the BV path. I stopped her and explained why she shouldn't be there. She referred to a note and replied "My friend told me to turn right at the gate". The post at that location was missing. It can be confusing to strangers.

The post was probably missing thanks to the last person who turned there...

I passed that intersection moments before and noticed the broken post on its side, on the grass.

My wife and I were driving south on the cart path between Stillwater and Lake Miona Rec Ctr. 2 months ago at night and in the rain. Visibility was not the greatest when we noticed a set of headlights wider than usual coming at us. Turns out is was a Ford Explorer zipping along their merry way towards Stillwater.
Crazy!!

Is that the new 'family sized' golf cart sold in The Villages?

Last week we were headed to the movies at Brownwood. As we were going around the circle in our golf cart we came face to face with a car going the wrong way. Poor lady couldn't figure out how to get out of the circle
