Sumter Grand will be the independent living facility associated with the Sumter Place assisted living facility, which is currently operational. Sumter Grand is being built and should be finished in about a year. I know one person who lives in Sumter Place and he seems to like it. That is the extent of my knowledge!

I have called and left a message FIVE times for info, and have also emailed, with no response. Getting very frustrated. Anyone have any idea of the rent prices?

Went to an information meeting last week. A one bedroom apartment starts at $4,000 a month. This includes two meals a day.

The ammenities that are included in the price of the monthly rent are numerous. The Village ammenities and two meals a day are just two of many.
It is very much like resort style living. The semiars that are held give you all the information including floor plans, amenities and pricig. To schedule an informationl seminar call (352)674-3500

My mom is very interested in moving to The Providence Independent living, Wildwood. It's located about a mile west of Sumter Grand on Hwy 466A diagonally across from Pinellas Place shopping center. Although it's not in The Villages, she is ok with that because she doesn't golf anyway. A one bedroom apt. with 2 meals is about $2500. We visited it and she's seriously thinking about it.
Also there are 3 new adult living facilities just north of the Walmart on Hwy. 466.
And a new one near the Lowe's on US 441, as well as the memory care place next to the Belvedere Library. I noticed that Freedom Pointe is expanding as well.
Seems that all the 65 year olds who moved here 20 years ago are ready for downsizing all at one time!
