We are in the process of purchasing a house in TV which (unfortunately) has a popcorn ceiling texture. We really like the house, but hate the ceilings. I am interested in hiring a contractor to remove the popcorn ceiling texture and replace it with the knockdown texture type.

In order to remove the popcorn texture the ceiling must be sprayed (soaked) so that the texture can be scrapped off. This process is extremely messing and can potentially ruin the walls and floors if they are not correctly protected. Several of the rooms in our house are hardwood, and I would hate to have the popcorn texture ground into the floor if they do not properly protect it. If you have gone through this process, I would like to know the contractor you used, and how well the contractor protected your walls and floor and if you are pleased with the results.
Thanks

I had it done by floor of the villages. We had a worker Gil Rivera start the job and it was not done right or timely. The Owner Roberto and salesman George were all over it and made everything right.

In fact I contracted them to do more work. The do molding crown and base for me as well as resurfacing and sealing my brick driveway. This all after 2000 foot of tile. The took out the old and put in new.

I trust them so much I gave them the key to the house.

Best of all when it is all done the send in a cleaning person and make sure you are satisfied before the last payment.

This is the second home I had them work on for me and my wife was a designer and Realestate broker and knows how things should be.
