Was in Bed Bath and Beyond this week when I noticed I had no cash and wrong credit card. Thanks to the generous lady who helped me out. She would not give her name but I gave her my card to repay her. Maybe someday I can do the same for her.:ho:

She paid for your purchase and didn't give her name so that you can repay her?

Welcome to the forum. This is a very unusual first post.

I was shopping at a small store in Annandale, MN. The lady did not take credit cards and I was out of cash and wanted to buy a purse. Well she just let me take the purse and gave me a card and receipt so I could mail her a check. I was shocked but she said she has never been stiffed. Guess when someone puts so much trust in you, you don't want to let them down and I did send the check.

I, me, Gracie, the 73 year old girl from Ohio would have just put it back, gone home and got the cash or the "right" credit card and paid for it myself or not bought it at all.

AND, I am pretty sure most of the people I know well would do the same.

Now if someone was buying food, it might look a little different on both sides.

This is YOUR chance to pay it foreward to someone else sometime! Last Spring someone paid for my coffee which was unexpected. So I promised to do the same for someone else. Always warms a heart!

I suppose we are talking about kindness and trust, so I hope this is not veering O/T. There is a little combination bait/sandwich shop in Cedar Key where you can eat outside. There is a coffee can there with this written on it.

"In a Hurry? Honor System. Close is Good Enough."

BTW, they have the best Cuban I have ever had.

LOU! This was at Bed,Bath and Beyond. Most of those items are...not like a cup of coffee. And usually NOT necessities.

I love your avatar and your quote at the bottom, guessing you must have a good sense of humor

Totally agree. I have done this for people and when they ask how they can repay me, I just say " Pay it forward "
Everyone should watch that movie.
Basically, a child is given a school project to make the world a better place.
He decides to do favors for three people and asks that they in turn do favors for three people. Don't pay me back....pay it forward. It has amazing results.

Here's the synopsis.
