Starbucks has WiFi. Maybe someone knows of other places in The Villages. I think Barnes and Noble too, but I'm not sure.

There's always the computer room at Savannah Center.

If you have a laptop with wireless, you can probably sniff a signal without too much trouble just about anywhere in the Villages. Lots of unsecured electrons floating through the air.

Donna: I'm surprised that no one has told you that Lake Miona and all other major rec centers are wi-fi and have been for about a year. Also, if you are within 300 feet of any building or residence with a wireless router turned on, you will probably be able to pick up their signal.

sniffing WIFI sigs from private stations may not be legal evan though they are not pw key protected.

comcast is the best, spend the money and get a good connection.connection right from your computor as long as you have tv connection from them. takes about 10 min for complete connect. no waiting for somebody to come to your house. they have specials running now. 25 dollars for one year

I think there is a two week wait for comcast installs now. Even longer for phone hookup.

You go to Circuit City or Best Buy and get yourself a wireless router...fairly painless to set up and then you can veg on the lanai or anywhere you want snuggled up with your Computer pounding out the messages......enjoy!
