Thinking New Balance and the like. Beall's was suggested as a good choice. Any confirmations, or other options?

Belk sometimes has them, For Feet's Sake (Sumter Landing) also. Limited selection, but good quality.
There is also a shoe place a few doors down from 5 guys (the name escapes me) Doesn't look like much on the outside, but has very good shoes of all kinds.

I just purchased a pair of quality cross-trainers- outside TV- at Shoe Carnival.
Hubby found his at Dick's Sporting Goods- also outside TV.
Both of these places had a very large selection- it was well worth the trip.

The shoe store near 5 guys is called Shoe Biz. They have tons of different brands. They are a little pricey but in shoes you get what you pay for. If you want reasonable priced I'd say Bealls. Also check out Shoes, Clothing, and More | Zappos.com (http://www.zappos.com) on line I think they have free shipping and free returns.

Last spring Belk's did not have ANY court shoes (for tennis or pickleball or paddleball). I got some at Shoe Biz, also heard they carry Wilson's court shoes at Glenview tennis shop, but I haven't checked those out.

forgot to say that Kohl's also does not carry court shoes, or didn't last spring anyway.

I have been buying my New Balance shoes for years at the website Shoebuy.com If you don't need a "brick & mortar" store I would suggest them. Good prices, never had an issue with them.

Here is a really good suggestion. Try .... Zappos.com Incredible selection they have shoes, sneakers, clothes etc. Tax Free, Shipping both ways Free, 365 days return policy, most name brands.

I have along with many friends have used them for years all without one single problem, better selection than any you will find here and a better price. Worth a try.

Just two weeks ago we went into Shoe Biz, they also have a store in the shopping center next to Belks. My wife was looking for some silver shoes with a small heel to wear with a dress. We had been to several stores and she couldn't find any. They had the perfect shoe, a Vernali 'Modesta' model, price was $99 which was more than she wanted to pay. We came home and I looked on Zappos and they had them, but wanted $104. Then I went on eBay and found the exact model new in the box in her size for $29.99 with 'Buy Now'. We got the shoes 4 days later in the mail.

I'm going to Bealls tomorrow to buy court shoes. I checked Kohl's and Belks website, the closest thing is a walking shoe. Going to Dick's Sporting Goods in Ocala would probably be the best place, but the Bealls website has K-Swiss tennis shoes for $50 and I've seen them at the court and they're nice. First if anyone is going to Bealls go on Bealls Department Stores (http://www.beallsflorida.com/?cm_mmc=PaidSearch-_-FLA-Bealls+Brand-_-PPCGoogle-_-bealls&device=c&network=g&matchtype=e&creative=27708293186&gclid=CLPSot-AwLoCFWxo7AodnAcALg) website and click on coupons at the top. They have a $13 coupon for purchases over $40 good tomorrow.
