Moved to Summerfield. We were not using it that much.

Actually there are homes to be built on that site.

Actually, the homes have already been built. I had just assumed they would have commanded a premium because of the free entertainment not even a hundred yards away.

Actually there are homes to be built on that site.I doubt it. That property is owned by the City of Wildwood.

Why would they move it to Marion county? Isn't it a Sumter county service?

No, went by yesterday and the fuel tank had been removed and the site is an empty lot with a concrete landing pad.

There was a news article a couple of months ago stating that the contract for that helicopter pad/medevac service would not be renewed after Oct 1. I just tried Google and could not find a reference to the article.
I recall the reason was the low utilization and that adequate coverage would be provided via the next closest site.
So, yes the helicopter pad on Powell Rd is non functional. Don't know who owns the land or what will be done with it.

Did you notice if the trailer has been removed?
That land is Wildwood. We just bought a house in Collier and can see the helicopter pad landing from our bedroom window. Our sales agent told us TV paid them to relocate.

I can't say for sure since I don't recall seeing a trailer, but did notice the fuel tank is gone.

Everything has been moved and they seem to be working on cleaning it up back there
