I would like to have a remote keypad installed outside my garage door. If you have one, who installed it and are you happy with the installation/price/service? Also, what is the approximate cost?

Thanks!

They cost 30-35 dollars at Home Depot or Lowes. Installation is just two screws, so almost anyone can do it. I had a Genie that worked fine. You don't need to buy an Allstar brand since most are universal.

Ryan O'Cull he is great. We had the door fixed and new openers as well as the remote opener so I can't tell you what the price was for the remote. 352 617 0522

Ryan O'Cull - we used him when we bought our pre owned home. He programmed all our remotes including the ones built into our cars as well as serviced our garage door. His charge was very reasonable.

Romac did ours since the units at HD wouldn't work.

The one I purchased from HD didn't work. I purchased one from Romac for $48 and change...easy to install and program.

We just recently got one at Lowes for about $35. Said it would work with MVP remotes and it works fine. Hubby had it up and running in about 15 minutes.

If your door came from Romac, you can purchase the keypad at their shop on Rolling Acres. The hardest part of the installation is deciding on the code to use. I have installed at least 6 for myself and neighbors. The total installation will take about 5 minutes or less.

When we moved in I replaced the battery in ours however no where was the existing code written down by the former owner and the booklet no where to be found. Since I have no idea how many others may know the code I've temporarely removed it.

Purchased the keypad from ROMAC and installed it myself - if I can do it, anyone can do it.

I would also like to recommend Ryan O'Cull, 352-617-0522 for garage door repair.

We thought our problem was in the remotes so after an hour of reading instructions, watching a YouTube demo and frustration I looked on TOTV and found Ryan's name. He came within hours of our call, replaced a part in the ceiling unit, rekeyed our remotes and set our car remote.

Prompt, professional, courteous and reasonably priced!
