The new gate is slooooow. Carts were lined up in both directions. You need a pass to leave (wave of the future? Just kidding) and there were armed guards (kidding about the armed part) taking abuse from people both coming and going.
Great solution to a non- problem.

I just came through the gate coming and going. The gentleman with Community Watch said said they are there to assist people who forgot their gate cards. He had a card and let a person through on both sides while I was there.
He said today (Sunday) is their last day there manning the gate.

Those in golf carts better keep you gate passes in a safe place.
Don't want them stolen while you are shopping "off the property."

This is very sad indeed to hear. I hope that there will not be further trouble.

Yesterday, a friend in Stonecrest who just got in from Vermont said he drove to the gate to check it out and was told by the guard that he turned around at least 19 Stonecrest carts in the last 4 hours.
One of my two brothers who live in Country Club Hills was stopped at the gate coming back from Walmart because he has a Stonecrest CC trail pass sticker on his cart and had to explain that he frequently golfs in Stonecrest but lives in TV.
My cousin who lives in Stonecrest is POed that he can't use his golf cart any more to visit his parents who are 20 year plus residents of TV.

Change is hard but we will all get used to it in time.

When we had a pass to get into the garage at our Pittsburgh apartment, the deal was if you lost the card, they were able to deactivate it. (And then charge you for a new one.) What happens if you lose a card at TV?
If it's the same process, it wouldn't benefit someone for very long to steal a card.

Are we permitted to buy extra gate cards? We have two, but need a third so we can keep one in our second cart.

Each household is allowed to have three. You are issued two and the third will cost you $15.

Yes, they can and do deactivate the gate passes. They remove the number from the database.
