What's In Kraft Stove Top Stuffing (http://fitblogger.ca/whats-in-kraft-stove-top-stuffing/)
Not to put a damper on Thanksgiving, but do you know what's in Stove Top Stuffing????
Those of you who still make their own old fashioned home made stuffing/dressing for the "bird" do not have to read this litany of no no's.
Just food for thought.....it's a long list, so please keep scrolling down.......
Many won't admit it, but they do like Kraft Stove Top Stuffing....

Basically the same stuff that's in bread. Except for the chicken.

And, using the Stove Top For Chicken makes a really great meatloaf.

SC love your posts on healthy or not healthly eating. As I age I am more aware of what I put in my body.
Thank you for your informative posts.

Jeanne! That is JUST what I was thinking and now Kayaker says it is great in meatloaf.
I like this forum better than the Daily Sun/Fun.

My theory is if it's eaten in moderation it won't hurt you. I'm a scratch cook because I enjoy cooking. There are times the convenience is just too hard to resist. This was passed down from my grandmother that lived to be 101.

If you make your own stuffing using bread or bread crumbs then you are basically using the very same ingredients.

Try it, you'll like it. :pepper2: I use beef broth instead of the water and add about a cup of finely chopped onion.

If it smells bad or tastes bad, don't eat it. Otherwise, go for it. Even arsenic has health benefits in moderation.

If I didn't make mine from scratch, including making cornbread from corn meal, my Grannie would come back and slap me. One of my daughters insists on making green bean casserole using Campbell's mushroom soup, and I won't eat it.

Who needs all the many starchy items that are usually served on Thanksgiving? If you are one who believes in moderation, I don't think it's moderation, it's excessive.
1. Corn
2. Stuffing
3. Mashed potatoes
4. Bread
5. Sweet potatoes
Pick one of the above or a tablespoon of each, and forget the bread.
