Is Wildwood the closest place you can get a bus to another Amtrak train? http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage

Wonder why the Villages does not have a Amtrak bus stop?

Check with talkhost he can hook you up with a train.

If you can hop a freight train - you may be able to catch the 6:12am or the 6:25am. 6:38am etc as it passes near the talkhosts residence. It will eventually hook up with and Amtrak connection, somewhere, sometime - i think. HINT travel light only one small bag per person and if caught the railroad will charge you $5 for golf bag

I think the closest Amtrak train station is in DeLand, about an hour or so away from TV.

Believe Amtrak has a station in Sanford not too far from the AutoTrain Station.
