Hi Raine, welcome to the Site. Since you're a new poster, you may not know about the Search button located on the panel above. You can search any topic, including lawn maintenance, and see a wealth of information on previous threads.
We use Stellar Landscaping. They are very experienced with all kind of grass. I can't say enough good things about them. They offer all types of services. And they're a TOTV advertiser.
I JUST LEARNED SOMETHING NEW ON ANOTHER THREAD. IF YOU TYPE site:talkofthevillages.com lawn
(USING GOOGLE) YOU'LL FIND A LOT OF GOOD INFO.

Have had Stellar for 2+ yrs. & we are very satisfied. I had them do 2 aerations last yr. Nov. & this May & it really improved the zoysa grass thickness & color.

I use Massy and am satisfied. They take care of fertilizing and weed control. Two years ago I dropped my lawn cutting service and started doing it myself. I use a self propelled mower which doesn't tear up my lawn like their riding mowers and don't cut it when it's wet which damages the lawn. I also cut the Zoyza lawn at the next to highest setting on the mower and always make sure my blade is very sharp. During the summer I water 3 times a week and my lawn looks like one of the healthest in the neighborhood. I see the biggest problem is lawns getting scalped from cutting it too short, then next day it looks brown and needing water. The sun dries out the roots since the blades are too short to shade them. By the time the grass grows and the lawn is starting to recover they come back and scalp it again.

I have no problems with Dean's. They take care of all lawn and pest sprays.

Zoysia Green is the BEST. we had Stellar but my grass was not very nice. Interviewed 5 companies and drove around and looked at houses each maintained. Zoysia Green had the best looking lawns by far. We left in May for our home in WA State. When we returned in October, we found that several of our neighbors had hired Zoysia Green because they said our lawn was the best in the neighborhood all summer. My sales rep. had also recommended Zoysia Green. Also, you pay by the month, not upfront as with Stellar. Stellar still cuts our grass, they were just not up to my standards for a beautiful lawn.
