Windows Pop-Up Security Notice A Nuiscance

My wifes computer keeps having an annoying pop-up from Windows security trying to sell their product. Not sure how to cancel it out even though the computer has a setting to block pop-ups. Other computer suggests "Keep your computer up to date". I X on the notice and that's it. But my wifes computer is relentless.

Come to find out that she had 2 viruses on her laptop. Computer guru removed them and installed updated security. Everything works as advertised now. ;D

There is a very good program for finding and removing virus software and best of all it is free.

spybot search and destroy is free and it has helped me fix many computers with Pop UP issues.

I've used Spybot for years and it is good. No problems with pop-ups.
