Be careful out there as with the merger of American and US Airways I have been hit with at least 20 e-mails stating that my tickers are ready just click on the link, or here is your boarding pass click on the link. Problem is that I have not been on a plain in 5 years at least and have no plans to travel. I have not been on the travel web pages looking either.

I feel this hacker group is just out there thinking the traveling public will think because of the merger there will be system problems and click on the link. Well each and every one of these e-mails has been deleted without opening and Malwarebytes has been run daily until this ends or at least slows down.

Be careful and don't open anything you are not expecting to receive.

You are spot on with this post. At Cflgeek, we recommend that you NEVER open attachments or links that are sent in emails, unless you double and triple check that the senders EMAIL address is one that you trust; This is one of the most common ways that peoples' computers get infected. As you said, identity thieves will often use events like this to try and steal personal information, or gain access to your computer.

If your computer does become infected however, us folks over at Cflgeek will be happy to take care of it for you. Just check the information in our signature.
