Thanks for posting photos. My granddaughters live in Montclair and they were deliriously happy the snow. yeah - they don't have to drive or shovel it.

Click on above hyperlink to view 30 photos of yesterday's first significant snowfall in northern New Jersey.

Use the top right arrow to progress through all of the photos; you might spot your own "neck of the woods".....although I'm certain the dog walkers in The Villages will be very happy that they don't have to slip and slide while escorting their pooches on their morning constitutionals.........

We've already had four or more ice, sleet and snowstorms, all with gusty winds, which kept our snow plow trucks, sanders and salters quite busy even though it is not officially winter yet.

Our rooftops, trees, shrubs and lawns have been "white" for awhile now........the new ice glides/slides on our roof have worked very well in helping the piled up snow to slide off to the ground......preventing future ice dams / jams from forming which happens if the ice/snow gets under the roof shingles. One less thing to worry about in Florida.

Will NOT miss any of this. As Joe says, "You don't have to shovel sunshine".

However, it is pretty to look at, if one is retired and can just throw a log on the fire and look out the window, without needing to drive in it..........so for those of you feeling nostalgic, take a look at the 30 photos.

Our nephew who owns a landscaping/snow removal business in northern N.J. must have been happy yesterday...........he has customers that want it removed "pronto" even if it is minimal amounts. Up in Vermont, anything under three inches or more, they just let melt away naturally as it falls so often.

We also have a much larger snowstorm due for this coming weekend........the biggest yet for Vermont; I'm pretty sure N.J. will also be affected by that storm.

Glad all of the Christmas shopping and everything else is done......... ENJOY !

You sound like me in that you have had it with the wintery weather, when I was desparate in wanting to move to TV. It's lovely to look at, but dangerous when you can fall, and hurt oneself, especially at our age.

Someone who has lived in TV for twelve years, mentioned to me, that he thought this winter, has been the best weather, he's ever seen. It's been in the low 80's and hardly any rainstorms.

Get on down here, and start living the dream.
