I was just wondering if there are any OIF vet members of TOTV? I spent my year tooling up and down MSR Tampa, Basra, Baghdad and at Camp Bucca.

This is a retirement community with LOTS of senior citizens. You would do better inquiring about vets of WW2, Korea, or Vietnam. Even Cold War vets. If it were not for the National Guard troops, most of the vets of Iraq would be kids (God love them). We have lots of vet organizations here. Both retiree clubs and short-timer clubs. Got a VA clinic here and anticipate a hospital in the future. :cop: :welcome:

My 60 yr old brother was a C-130 crew chief in both Iraq wars on top of spending time in Pleiku.
He left the AF after the late 60's and signed up in the AF Guard in the late 80's (he wanted the bonus to buy a truck); got called into the first Iraq war and decided to stay in the AF and went back to Iraq in this 2nd go round.
Retired last year and spends about 3 months a year in TV.
3 years and out for me - thank you

I was in Viet Nam also... Did a tour up in I Corp. Believe it or not, I was the 2nd oldest in the state of NH to go over, another guy from up in the northern part of the state was 2 or 3 months older than me. The jungle and the desert were alike in only one way..... you THINK Florida is Hot......
