Villages PL

I realize "Villages PL" was not a good choice because there are too many people with "Villages" in their name. But I keep changing my mind about what name I should choose. I was thinking about "Food Police" but got cold feet on that one. Then I thought about "Your Majesty". :) I have another one in mind that I won't disclose at this time.

What's the maximum number of letters and spaces I can use? And how would I go about changing my name? Who do I ask? How do I get there? And would I get to keep my total number of posts?

You only have to contact the Admin to change your username...not a big deal.

I'd go with "FoodCop" :loco:

I tried to get a vanity license plate that said "NO TAG" but the DMV wouldn't issue it.
So it's all yours to use.

This way I'd either never get a parking ticket - or - get everyone elses that had no tag on their car. :D

What's your hobby or burning desire. I like to fix things, and 'tinker' mostly with old cars and electronics, hence villagetinker. Just a thought.

Pick a name that has meaning to you and you won't forget. Something that you and you alone like.

Everyone else can adapt. It should be no big deal for the admin as you will keep your number of posts.

Go to the bottom of the home page and use the "contact Us" icon. That will get you to the admin.

I am "2BNTV" and several people have asked me to change it to, "IMNTV".

I like it the way it is and won't change it but that's just me. :smiley"

With over 3,000 posts, I think we all recognize you by now as Villages PL! However if you do decide you need to change your moniker, MEMason's suggestion of "foodcop" seems to fit. Or maybe take DoubB's suggestion of "healthNUT".

Since your ultimate goal in life is to remain in the physical body for as long as possible, while maintaining optimal good health.........how about????

"CENTENARIAN DUDE", latter part borrowed from earlier poster...........this way we don't have to keep guessing if you are male or female.

or

"CENTENARIAN WANNABE"

" A centenarian is a person who lives to or beyond the age of 100 years.

Because current average global expectancies are less than 100, the term is invariably associated with longevity.

A supercentenarian is a person who has lived to the age of 110 or more, something only achieved by about one in 1,000 centenarians. Even rarer is a person who has lived to age 115. As of July 2013, there are only 30 people in recorded histroy who have indisuputably reached this age, of whom only Misao Okawa is still currently living. In 2012, the United Nations estimated that there were 316,600 living centenarians worldwide." Wikipedia quote

Or:

"STRIVING FOR MY CENTENNIAL"

CENTENNIAL:. Of or relating to an age or period of 100 years. 2. Occurring once every 100 years: a centennial commemoration.

CENTENNIAL: 100th anniversary: marking an anniversary of one hundred years

HealthNUT or Vegeman!

I like "HealthNUT". As a matter of fact, I once used it on another website that was devoted to various health issues. Although, I'm not sure if I should use it again.

Yeah, but I would put "vpl" in capital letters: VPLdude. That would definitely solve the problem. :)

What's your hobby or burning desire. I like to fix things, and 'tinker' mostly with old cars and electronics, hence villagetinker. Just a thought.

Good question. My "hobby and burning desire" is: Reading and learning about health, nutrition and longevity. I have a large book collection that covers everything from reversing heart disease to cancer prevention. To me, every new book is an adventure that's better than fiction.

Try your real name. Demonstrate the courage of your convictions.:mmmm:

I do have the courage of my convictions (by the very fact that I speak up about what I believe in) without using my real name. How would using my real name change anything? I believe the overwhelming majority of posters, on this website, don't use their real name. Do they all lack convictions? I don't think so and I wouldn't insult them by suggesting it. :-)

What does PL stand for How about just using that? Or VPL, which is how a lot of people refer to you.

That's part of the problem, it doesn't stand for anything meaningful to me. It just sounds good now that I'm used to hearing it.

Anyway, I don't think VPL would work. Isn't there a minimum number of letters required?

Thanks, 2BNTV, that's an excellent suggestion and I probably will end up going with your idea. And, guess what, the name I like has nothing to do with health, nutrition or gender. And it will not indicate that I used to be "Villages PL".

I suppose I should have a tag-line that says: "Formerly known as Villages PL"

Now all I need to know is: How do I set up a tag-ling? :)

And I need to know if it has already been used. Can I do a search to find out?

Cent’Anni (Italian for “May you Live 100 Years”) | San Diego Entertainer Magazine (http://www.sdentertainer.com/dining/centanni-italian-for-may-you-live-100-years/)

Cent'Anni is Italian for "May you Live 100 Years"

No matter what screen name you ultimately decide upon, Centenarian or other, above is a good recipe to aid you in reaching that big "100".......and the typical Italian toast "Cent'Anni".
May You Live 100 Years.

On the more serious side, I like Healthnut too, sounds younger and not as crusty as Centenarian but on the other hand if you are over 100...

My favorite name for you is: Villages PL. Whatever, have fun with it.
