No idea as to why, but it affected me here in Sunset Pointe, three blocks north of Bailey Trail. And, I talked with someone else this morning who lives just west of Lake Miona Rec Ctr - he was out, too!
So, it sounds fairly widespread. But, why?
We don't have power poles which someone could have crashed into.
It seems rather unlikely that anyone was out digging somewhere with a back-hoe at oh-dark-thirty (around 2:00 am).
Maybe there'll be some clue in the Daily Sun tomorrow????

happened here in Sabal Chase too....from about 300am til 500 am....I have a UPS device on my computer and it started beeping when the power went out...an unintended alarm clock.
