Are there any other speech pathologists out there? Just retired after 30+ years in the N.J. public schools.

As a retired primary teacher, I want to say that The SPEECH pathologists were always wise is so many ways, and would be the first line of help when I had a little one who had some problems or was outside of the usual perimeters in behavior or development.

They were often more helpful in practical ways to find the problem and some solutions for those special kids than the psych people.

Hats off to you. Hope you find a bunch of you to get together here in TV.

I will be your cheerleader.

That's what I did in my first life. First five years of my teaching career and finished the last 25 as an intervention specialist. Most of my IEP meetings included the SLP. Great to work with the wonderful people. Things sure changed from the little we had to the great tools that are now available. Much improvement in standardized evaluations. All we had in the early 70s was our common sense and creativity.

We were all part of a wonderful support system to benefit the students! Lets start that group!
