That looks quite different from the old Sumter Landing web-cam. It looks like the camera is lower and is zoomed in unlike before?? http://www.thevillages.com/lifestyle/cam_lsl.asp

I am so glad the web-cam is back. I usually check each day to see the what the weather looks like and to remind myself I will soon be there enjoying TV life.
When we were down earlier in the month I called my office and gave them the TV website. They logged in and I stood beside the clock and waved. The girls got a real kick seeing me there.
Cheers, beady

Taltarzac - I can't seem to get the web cam. I used the address you indicated but get a tech message saying I've put in the wrong address. Any suggestions?

River,

http://www.thevillages.com/lifestyle/cam_ss.asp try this if it doesnt work then you may have to download the applet to run the picture. If you do it will appear at the top of the screen in your browser. download this and you should be able to see the pic.

Tuesday and Thursday are vendor's nite at Sumter Landing so the tent could be for that. The Italian Fest is scheduled for this coming Monday, 10/08 so there will be lots of activity on both squares. Also if you want to see how crowded it gets when Rocky and The Rollers are playing the Sumter Landing Market Square check the web can on Tuesday, 10/09 from 5-9pm.

Enjoy and hurry up and move here :welcome:

Dicky...the tent went up for the Mit Romney rally and hasn't come down since then. May have been left up for the upcoming Oct 8 Italian Fest. With all the recent evening rains, gives the line dancers somewhere to dance without getting wet.

I've been looking at the cams for about 9 months or so now, since I've decided to move there early 2008. In looking at surrounding towns websites, to get an idea of the towns surrounding TV, I was surprised, and elated by the one that Leesburg has on theirs. you can actually control and move it yourself. Wish TV one was similar, but, I'm not complaining, gives me my fix when I need it, so, am grateful it is here, but, just a thought.

Good night for the web cam, Rocky and the Rollers. Wish I were there instead of looking at it from home in Pa. :)

The pictures are great but I wish I could hear the music. Maybe that's next.

Its great to watch the fun in the Square only it makes me even sadder that I am not there yet. But I love to see everyone having a great time and I know that I'll be there soon. No matter what happens I know someone will buy my house here!!!!!
