We lost our little sweet shih tzu Katie last year and are not ready to commit full time yet to another baby. However, helping you out would also be a blessing to us.

I know how you feel. We had 2 Shih Tzus and the second one passed in 2008.
We thought we would wait and lasted 3 months.
We now have 2 brother litter mates that are Shih Tzu/ Maltese that people think are Havanese including breeders.
Never seen a Shih Tzu that I didn't like.

I am very sorry for your loss Michelle. We have our third Shih tzu and have loved them all. Meisha is a spayed female and is 13 years old. We need a sitter from January 24th in the evening until February 10th in the a.m. She jumped off our bed about 4 years ago and broke her neck and we had her operated on but we were told to never allow her on the bed or furniture where she might jump off again. She has a bed and blanket that she loves. We would be willing to pay you if you are still interested. We live in Gilchrist. Please call me at 413-896-8335 if you are interested so that we can meet and introduce Meisha to you.
Thanks.

My boy died and I was heartbroken. He was a shih tzu and my baby and my best friend. It was just so sad and lonely without him. I got my Toby two weeks later. I still miss my boy but I love my Toby and he helped fill the sadness and loneliness. Puppies are a lot of work. I forgot how much work they are. But they are so darn cute. They are babies and everyone loves babies. And shih tzu babies are the cutest. It was hard taking that first step and bringing home another dog. I somehow felt disloyal to my boy. But I love dogs and I missed the company and I would be giving another dog a loving forever home. In fact, after I got Toby, I brought Maggie, another Shih tzu puppy , home a year later. I now have two shih tzu kids! So my advice is to take that big step and bring another fur baby into your home. You won't regret it, I promise. I so promise!

Hi Michelle,
My wife and I rescued Bandit about three months ago. He is currently sitting in my lap as I write this. We are intrigued by your offer and would like to meet you. We will give you a call over the next few days.

I can second that. We did the same thing after our first golden died. I think we lasted about two months. It was not a disrespect to Bear, but a nod to him. We'll never ever forget him, but Crosby has filled a big hole. The only thing to remember is that no two dogs are alike, even if the same breed. They all have their distinctive personalities, and the next one will never be the same as the last one.

Not too sure about that. My wife got a beagle to replace our's that passed away. It's a pain in the ass just like the first one.

But we still love them. :icon_wink:

:1rotfl::1rotfl: Been there! Had a beagle when I was a kid. Great dog, but an escape artist.
