If you are feeling rushed then sounds like you purchased without doing the necessary due diligence to give you comfort. Not knowing what your living costs will be, what your deed restrictions are and the logistics of getting around to the places that are important to you gives you a high chance of being disappointed and frustrated. This is not the place to get comfortable since nobody on here has any skin in your game.

Been here 6 years; just bought our 2nd home in Bradford and love it here. Expenses about the same as in Kansas City (not lifestyle altering); considerably lower than Illinois.
Good luck with your final decision. |
If you are remote, there was no one at your place putting a gun to your head. If you're not ready you shouldn't sign. At the same time, don;t expect The Villages to hold the house for you. Last year the lot we wanted opened up at 11 am. Our offer was in at 11:01. There were 4 backup offers in place in the next 5 minutes. If you;re looking at a spec house with a standard configuration, there will most likely be plenty that are similar. But something must have compelled you to consider placing an offer in the first place. you might have buyers remorse. But you also might be very early in your decision making process. Only you know the answer to that

Yes, they move fast.
No need to rush if not ready. There is enough land in the bank to double the size of the Villages so there will be plenty of opportunity to purchase lots and build homes for the foreseeable future. |
My guess is you will love it and after a year, if you find a village more to your liking, you will not have trouble selling and moving. I've heard the average for Villagers is three houses.
