Default 2008 ezgo gas

I recently purchase a used 2008 EZGO gas with the Robin engine. The test drive went well and the seller assured me the cart had no issues but he was a lite user of the cart.
After running the cart for 5 or 6 miles and after a complete stop with the engine shutting down ,the engine will not restart when I push the gas,no sounds at all . I play with the gear shift and turn the cart off and on and within 1 minute the cart starts.THIS ISSUE DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME.I guess it is only a matter of time until I am broke down.
Please help.Thank-you.

The first thing we would look at would be the battery. With a heated engine the compression builds up and a weak battery will not turn over the engine until it cools.
Check the age of the battery and the charging voltage if you are able, if not call for service.

I replaced the battery. The load test on the old battery came end at the low end of good.
The battery was 5 years old.I maybe nuts but I think the cart is running better with the new battery
Hopefully this fixes the problem.if not will the solenoid be the next part to look at?
Thank you for your help.

The next steps are the solenoid and then the starter generator.
Good Luck,

I had the cart out on a long run and the cart started every time after a complete shut down.if the problem reappears I will replace the solenoid.Looks like a $40 part for the EZGO.
If a new solenoid does not fix the problem,I will call you.Starter generators replacement are past my skill level.Thank you.
