Default Buying a used cart

Are there particular items to check for either wear or damage when evaluating used carts ? Is one brand better than others? Would the list be different for a 4 yr old cart vs a 2 year old cart? Probably gas cart.

Default Used carts

A privately owned two year old gas cart should be in good condition if it was properly maintained. If it has been in The Villages it should have had high speed gears installed and not operating at a high RPM to reach 19-23 MPH.

Now at four years old we start to get clutch and belt wear and often too noisy of clutches and this can get costly to replace.

Check for tire wear patterns and looseness in front ends, also check spring bushing for wear.

The major cart manufactures Yamaha, Club Car & EZ-GO are using Japanese engines now and with proper care will run for many years of good service.

As far as what to pick, its all about style and preference.

Default Year?

How do you know the "year" of a cart and where is the serial # located?

Default Years of carts

Club car is easy, under the dash just off center to the right you will find a serial # and the year is the two #s after the letters.
EZ-GO & Yamaha are located in all different places for different years and even I have to go to the books for the locations.
