Question Cart cuts out?

A friend gave me a cart an older Club Car,

every once in while after stopping it cuts out like no power.......

He says just jump two poles of the plug where U charge it and it will reset itself.

Guess what it does, I put a jumper wire in one of the three pins and off we go.

I can't have that happen as a regular fix.

Any idea what I can check?

tks in advance

What year is the cart ? If your cart is newer than 15 years old you are having OBC problems (on board computer) I would not recommend jumping on a regular basis.

Frank, it was the grey wire on the charge receptacle being loose, the computer thought the cart was plugged in so it wouldn't run.

Yes that is the signal going to the OBC. I am glad it was a simple fix.
