I'm curious about the typical lifespan of a gas golf cart, in years. How many years will one run well, before you'd usually think - hm. Maybe it's time for a new one. Would a 2005 be considered ancient? Is a 2000 a veritable antique? If it's properly maintained, can these things last until they start to rust?

We'll be looking into a used one for our first one. The newer models (2016 and up) look to be around $6000 and up, so we're thinking maybe an earlier model. But we don't want to get something so old that it'd cost us a fortune to keep it maintained.
