Default Overcharging New Batteries?????

Frank:

My new Powertron Batteries were installed in February 2015 on my 2010 Club Car DS. The Club Car battery charger(Powerdrive 3 Model) takes many hours to charge and my LED Voltage meter finally reads 64 - 65 volts while charging and eventually the charger goes off.

Is the above normal?

The batteries should be fully charged at 77 degrees F , 59.5 volts and 2.2 volts higher for every 10 degrees for a max charge voltage 62 volts.
