2008 EZGo Gas misfires
The engine in my EzGo frequently misses. I put in new spark plugs with no improvement, then I tried some dry gas to the tank in case there was some water in the gas, still no improvement. Is there anything else I can look at?

When you changed the plugs did you notice the condition of each plug?
Looking to see if the misfire is dedicated to one or the other cylinder. If the fire was even on each of the plugs I would keep looking at the fuel side if the engine, perhaps a fuel pump, gas tank vent , gas cap gaskit, maybe drain the tank. If the plugs vary in carbon we will look to the electrical system, wires ,coil, ignition wires, rev limiter. Hope you locate the problem with these ideas. |

I did notice that one of the plugs had a lot of carbon while the other looked almost new. Since I have been running about a month with the new plugs, I will pull them and if I see the same pattern. If I do, then I will start checking the ignition system.
Thank you! |

Gas problem
You shoul check the compression balance of both cylinders first, if balanced
Over 140 lbs. continue to follow the electrical path of the unfired plug. |
