Default 2000 Club Car 48 volts

Hi Frank
My cart has 2yr old batts that test to 50v.at full charge. The backup buzzer worked intermittent.
I cleaned the contacts on all three switches. Result was a loss of power in FWRD.
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Leon

Hi Leon,
Unfortunately that is not a good test for a failing or weak battery.
When we test for a battery problem we start with full charge than add a timed discharge that applies a load over a period of time simulating distance. After the maximum load is reached at one to two hours we than apply an additional load and at that point we check each battery for voltage and than we can usually find the battery with a failing cell.
The pack voltage after a charge will not show these correct facts we attain after this procedure.
