Could use suggestions on how to get the XFinity music channels to play in the lanai without running wires. We have a patio villa with the front lanai enclosed and the distance from our smart LG TV in the great room is a good 40-45 feet away. Someone suggested Bluetooth speakers, but the maximum range is about 30 feet normally and the kitchen, laundry, etc. stands in the way also. Any ideas for this electronically challenged guy ? Thanks in advance !

We use Amazon Alexa with wifi. Just plug in and play.

Don't forget..........Alexa is always listening.

Which is the reason the Boss refuses to allow one in the house...

I tried to explain that at least "someone" would listen to her, since apparently I never do..., But it was in vain... :loco:

Sonos is a great option. It allows me to easily stream anything, anywhere in my home. I can stream my TV audio to any room. Or stream music or podcasts from my iphone/ipad to any sonos speaker. Any and all audio currently playing in any apple app can be streamed to one or multiple sonos speakers.

Got Alexa in multiple rooms. Just tell it to play whatever music you like.
Funny thing about Alexa. I had a serious accident about a year ago. I'd get into bed at night, position a million pillows around me trying to get comfortable and then realize I still needed to turn off the light. I got Alexa to turn on and off the lights. That's it. Then I found it could do a bunch of other things. Alexa hooks into Ring doorbell cam, can turn on your smart TV, control your Roomba, (though Roomba and I aren't on speaking terms at the moment). Alexa played endless Encanto while my granddaughter played in our pool when she came to visit this past summer. Thanks, Disney.

Download the XFinity app on your phone.

Use your phone and a bluetooth speaker on your lanai.

Spend $50 to $100 on a speaker and you will be surprised with the quality.

Can play Pandora music on your phone too.

Agreed get a Bose Bluetooth speaker, the sound is amazing

Wireless Speakers that will work in Lanai

Love my Sonos!

Sonos model called “Move” is bluetooth or wifi.
Sonos models “One” or “Five” do not have bluetooth and work over wifi only.

Xfinity

Install the Xfinity app on your phone or tablet. Select the music channel within the app. Stream the music to the Bluetooth speaker from your phone or tablet. Hope this helps! Michael

Your phone is also always listening if you have it responding to your voice. As in "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google". No different. Alexa doesn't listen beyond listening for the command word.

Not too sure about that...

Ever have a conversation about something within earshot of your Alexa and suddenly start getting ads for said discussion?

Echo Show will advertise items we talk about without the so called command words.

The Echo show also has a camera........loves to watch.............just like the Sony TV's.

Are you saying that you can tell the difference between Alexa sound and Xfinity sound? I know I couldn't.

Never said anything about Xfinity sound..............not even sure what Xfinity sound is..........didn't know they had sound making units.

Said, Alexa sound is not great.............none of the Alexa units produce great sound.

I prefer quality sound, from a quality speaker.
