We just bought a used car from key scale ford and they were great, that’s after going to Phillips and couldn’t even get anyone to help us...I highly recommend them..

First off, know what car you want or at least narrow it down. Do your research. Know which extras youll agree to since they will pressure you to add all. Know your price limit. If trading your car in then know the trade in value. Dont be bullied. Stick to what you want. Be prepared to walk away. Some will let you leave but call you within a few days with a better offer. Others wont let you get out of the parking lot. Its all a game. Enjoy!

If a Lincoln becomes an interest and you look into the cars at Plaza Lincoln, be very careful with their sales practices. From the top person to the bottom, they pulled numerous shady practices. Seniors Against Crime has a folder full of complaints on them. Mine is one of them.

I must say, I love my Corsair and the Service Department has been very good.

I purchased a new Toyota at DeLuca in Ocala for $3,000.00 less than what Phillips Toyota had quoted me in Leesburg.

Better buy something that’s economical on gas. Gas prices keep going up here in the villages while the price of gas keeps going down other places in the country.

Default Auto dealers

Keyscales Ford and Phillips Buick are two long-time dealerships then our fair in their dealings. I can also say that will all their service departments are more expensive than local mechanics they get the job done. I cannot recommend the Lincoln dealer on 441 in Leesburg and I think the service department cuz overboard on pricing. Has several others have said do some basic research on the internet before you go as for what your trade-in is really worth and remember they have to mark up Used Cars 3 to $4,000 to make profits so don't expect retail on your used car also get your loan in advance over the internet because that's the main place dealers make money these days. If you currently have good credit it should be in the neighborhood of 4% or so. If you're planning on paying cash don't tell them until the rest of the deal is totally done and you have everything in writing signed off by the sales manager.

Come see us at Bill Bryan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on RT 441 in Fruitland Park. I'm in the support staff but our sales staff is great and will help you get into a new or used car.

We also have Kia and Subaru dealerships in Leesburg by the airport.

I have bought many cars at Phillips Buick over the years (12 cars) and I work with Blake Kelly. No pressure but know what your car is worth and be willing to negotiate . I also buy mine at year end as in the last few days of the year many promotions Usually come out to meet year end quotas .... so try the end of the quarter/year or go see Blake, meet him, and ask him to notify you when the promotions are deeper which would benefit you more . He’s great to work with .

I priced new Subaru Outbacks to lease in Leesburg and Ocala. An Orlando dealer leased it much, much cheaper and delivered the car to me in The Villages.

Lots of good advice here (except for the inane comment about gas prices) but I would add one more thing - require the sales person to talk about "out the door" price rather than the price of the car. That way you won't be surprised when they add on the "dealer prep" fee and the "document" fee and the extra charge for floor mats or whatever.

The whole Bill Bryan dealership in Fruitland Park is great. Buying our new Chrysler Pacifica there a couple of years ago was the best car buying experience of our lives. Customer service shines here and Ill Park ( yes, Ill as in “sick” ) was a wonderful salesman. He knows his vehicles, inside and out, and made the whole experience fun. We are treated like a part of the Bill Bryan family and this is the first time we have ever felt that our business was important and appreciated. If we ever decide to trade this beautiful van Ill Park is who we will work with.
