My thanks to the Villages Red Sox Nation for the opportunity to see the trophies up close. My thanks to those who decided to keep it open beyond 3PM. I just got to the trophies at 3 and there were a lot of people behind me. I hope most of them got a chance to see and have a picture taken with them.

Great pix! We were there too, for the whole thing. Wicked awesome nice day.
Art Plant had a vision and what a vision for Red Sox Nation. Went to Ricciardi's for a nice lunch with several friends (all 9 from Boston area) and a great time was had by all.
BOSTON STRONG!

:coolsmiley: Great picture!!!! I am heading to Worchester (pronounced Wusta) in early April for work. Looking forward to grabbing a train into the city to catch a game, playing the Rangers. I haven't been to Fenway for about 15 years. Got to take my boys to Wrigley last summer so really looking forward to getting back to another "real" ballpark :a040:. The Cincinnati Reds are my #1 team as such I couldn't have been rooting harder for the Sox. Had my Sox hat on every game!!!

Had a great time at Truck Day today. Did wish that Claudia Williams spoke a bit longer.

We were over there around 2 this afternoon. Took some pictures.

Claudia Williams,is that the daughter of Ted Williams? He played his entire career as a left fielder for the Boston Red Sox. Finishing with a .344 batting average, 521 home runs, and a .482 ondashbase percentage, the highest of all time!

He was the last to bat .400.

Someone has been checking out Wikipedia. You learned a lot since yesterday.

By the way, I was wrong when I said that I was at the game where he finished the season with a .406 batting average.

I was actually at the final game of his career where he hit a home run in his final at bat.

He hit .406 in 1941. My parents hadn't even met then.

Now go learn about the red seat. I've actually sat in it.

Nothing like the Bosox getting to celebrate winning both the American League East crown and the American League Divisional Series in the house of the Yankees. On to Houston!

It's great that they won. It actually surprised me. I thought that the Yankees pitching was far superior. Obviously, they didn't perform when it was important.

I'm concerned about the bullpen. All year it's been about how do they get to Kimbrel and then Kimbrel does what he did last night.

Houston has several outstanding starters and their bullpen had the lowest ERA in the majors in September. They've been great all year.

It's going to be a tough series, but then again, all the series in October should be tough. We're down to the four best teams in baseball. At least the Sox have the home field advantage.

The Sox and the Astros split the regular season games 3-3. What's interesting is that they both won two of the three games on the road.

Hasn't it been awesome to have had the greatest rivalry in sports in our backyards?

People often ask me if I hate the Yankees. While that's part of being a Boston fan, I always say that I appreciate the fact that the Yankees have existed so that fans on both sides have had the pleasure of this great rivalry.
