As a lifelong Red Sox fan there is not much I like about the evil empire, but there is no denying that Jeter is a class act and deserves congratulations.

I did feel the same way when we lived up North but I have so many friends from the Boston area I gave up that way of looking at things. Big Papi is a favorite of mine too!

I actually root for the Red Sox sometimes. Why not?

7th inning down by a couple of runs and you always had high hopes on the years when the Yank's were tuned in that we were going to be OK. It's almost like well we've got 'em rite where we want 'em.

For Me. Jeter #1 & Mariano Rivera #1A.

I'm curious to know what sportswriter was the lone no vote for Jeter.

We will never find out. There is always one who is a dissenter. The process protects the voting block. It would be nice for the person to man up and tell us why.

IMHO - Maybe a Boston sportswriter but who's to say and that's pure speculation.

It should have been unanimous like Mariano. IMHO

A class act who lived the NY media glare without an incident where his name was sullied. Jeter gave tips on how to handle the NY media to Eli Manning. Another class act.
